Groups will enjoy cooking in a beautiful lake view kitchen with two ovens. Once dinner is served, all can eat together in a kitchen/dining room that seat 20 comfortably or many more by simply opening the dining room door onto the upper deck.

Families will appreciate two living rooms, a four-bed bunkroom just inches off the lower family room, loads of interactive games, and enough decks, patios, and yard to give everyone space to roam.

Small groups will delight in several warm rooms ideal for connecting, debriefing, brainstorming, and planning for the future with the only distractions being an occasional eagle and the irresistible sunsets... Our conference-size dining table seats 14 in comfort in a room sure to inspire.

Everyone in your group will relish their bedrooms, each of which features a relaxing chair/chaise and a desk that will bring out the writer in you! Every room is named, customized, and designed to spoil your body while you rest your mind.

"Come with me by yourselves," Jesus calls, "to a quiet place and get some rest." (Mark 6:31).

As He called the disciples then, Jesus calls his followers now to intentionally withdraw from the swift current of busyness to nurture the disciplines of rest, stillness, silence and solitude.

Every inch of Rest Inn Rivendell has been prepared to help you say "yes" to Jesus' invitation.

Birthed out of over twenty years of cultivating this personal discipline, Rivendell has been designed by Barry and Alicia Britt Chole as a home devoted to spiritual growth and rest. Secluded in the woods, graced with a panoramic view of Lake Taneycomo, Rest Inn Rivendell is a unique place: a space where comfort and art meet to renew the body and inspire the mind.

Able to sleep 20 in comfort, Rivendell is an ideal venue for reunions, staff retreats, and family vacations. But the primary dream for the home is that it would be a house of prayer.

Three options are currently available for prayer retreats:

- Gather a group of friends (there are 6 luxurious bedrooms and 1 bunkroom) for a prayer retreat and email rest@restinnrivendell.com to reserve the home on dates convenient for your group. Whole-house reservations are available year-round with 2-4 night minimum depending on the season. Men's or women's groups welcome.

- Opt in to the prayer retreat emails and reserve an individual room during announced women's prayer weeks.
